The body of a warrior; the serenity of mind of a monk

Tao Movement is all about balance and mastering body control. It’s all about enhancing your body’s natural functions by the acquisition of appropriate movement skills.

 

I teach boxing, yoga and qigong, wing-tsun kung fu, calisthenics and gymnastics in group classes or, if you are looking for faster results and personalised attention, I’m also available for private sessions and personal training. Through these disciplines my students develop an awareness of their body whilst improving strength, mobility and overall fitness level.

BOXING

Boxing classes are fast paced and intense. Always emphasising technical abilities in a fun and ego free environment, these classes will push you to the limit to get the best out of you. Wether you want to enjoy a non-contact recreational boxing session or are looking forward to test your fighting skills in controlled sparring, you will learn about the art of fighting whilst developing a lean body and a confident mind.

YOGA

Emphasising the link between breath and movement, I design sequences that focus on anatomical precision, structural balance and mindfulness. Always respecting modern science of biomechanics, I blend dynamically yoga asana with elements of qigong and tai chi.
My classes are non-dogmatic and down to Earth, creating a fun environment where to explore the energetic contrasts between the powerful arm balances (Yang) and the fluid Daoist movements (Yin).

 

Currently I am studying my 300 hours Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Jason Crandell. I also trained QiGong for Yoga with Mimi Kuo-Deemer; and at the moment I practice Wu Style Taiji and I’m learning Daoist Internal Energy Work (Nei Gong) with Paul Cavel.

ANIMAL MOVEMENT

Using animal motions, this class improves coordination, balance, mobility and strength.

Incorporating animal locomotion (crawls, jumps, hops, rolls), gymnastics drills and arm balancing training, the aim is to master body control to ultimately gain freedom of movement and grace. A challenging yet very rewarding class.

When:
